EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework
The Company complies with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (“EU-U.S. DPF”), the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (“Swiss-U.S. DPF”) as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce. The Company has certified to the U.S. Department of Commerce that it adheres to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework Principles (“EU-U.S. DPF Principles”) with regard to the processing of personal data received from the European Economic Area in reliance on the EU-U.S. DPF and from the United Kingdom (and Gibraltar) in reliance on the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF. The Company has certified to the U.S. Department of Commerce that it adheres to the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework Principles (“Swiss-U.S. DPF Principles”) with regard to the processing of personal data received from Switzerland in reliance on the Swiss-U.S. DPF. If there is any conflict between the terms in this Privacy Policy and the EU-U.S. DPF Principles and/or the Swiss-U.S. DPF Principles, the Principles shall govern. We are responsible for the processing of personal data we receive under each DPF and any subsequent transfers to a third party acting as an agent on our behalf. We comply with the DPF Principles for all onward transfers of personal data from the EU and UK and Switzerland, including the onward transfer liability provisions. This Privacy Policy describes the categories of personal data that we may receive in the U.S. as well as the purposes for which we use that personal data.
We will only process personal data in ways that are compatible with the purpose that we collected it for, or for purposes you later authorize. To transfer personal information to a third party acting as a controller, we will comply with the DPF Principle regarding notice and choice. We will also enter into a contract with the third-party controller that provides that such data may only be processed for limited and specified purposes consistent with the consent provided by the individual and that the recipient will provide the same level of protection as the DPF Principles and will notify us if it makes a determination that it can no longer meet this obligation. The contract will provide that, when such a determination is made, the third party controller ceases processing or takes other reasonable and appropriate steps to remediate.
We may transfer personal data to our third-party agents or service providers who perform functions on our behalf as described in this Privacy Policy. Where required by the DPF, we enter into written agreements with those third-party agents and service providers requiring them to provide the same level of protection the DPF requires and limiting their use of the data to the specified services provided on our behalf. We take reasonable and appropriate steps to ensure that third-party agents and service providers process personal data in accordance with our DPF obligations and to stop and remediate any unauthorized processing. Under certain circumstances, we may remain liable for the acts of our third-party agents or service providers who perform services on our behalf for their handling of personal data that we transfer to them. In certain situations, we may also be required to disclose personal data in response to lawful requests by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.

In compliance with the EU-U.S. DPF, the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF and the Swiss-U.S. DPF, we commit to cooperate and comply respectively with the advice of the panel established by the EU data protection authorities, the UK Information Commissioner’s Office, and the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner with regard to unresolved complaints concerning our handling of personal data received in reliance on the EU-U.S. DPF and the UK Extension to the EU- U.S. DPF and the Swiss-U.S. DPF. Under certain conditions, as more fully described on the Data Privacy Framework Program website, https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov, you may be entitled to invoke binding arbitration when other dispute resolution procedures have been exhausted.

Children Under the Age of 18

Automatically as you navigate through the site. Information collected automatically may include usage details, IP addresses, browser type, internet service provider, referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and/or clickstream data. We do not link this automatically collected data to other information we collect about you.
From third parties, for example, our background verification providers.
The information we collect may vary depending on your use of the Website, including whether you are an independent clinical professional who has registered with the Website through Monitor Registration located on the Website (a “Monitor”) or a user seeking an independent clinical professional by submitting project information and who has registered with the Website through Sponsor Registration located on the Website (a “Sponsor”).
Disclosure of Information
We may disclose Personal Information that we collect or you provide as described in this Privacy Policy:
To our subsidiaries and affiliates;
To contractors, service providers, and other third parties we use to support our business and who are bound by contractual obligations to keep personal information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them, including for the purpose of background verifications and payroll;

If you are a Monitor, to Sponsors or third parties interested in engaging your professional services and/or who want to see your Profile information;
If you are a Sponsor, to Monitors who you have selected to view or have engaged with and/or who want to see your project postings;

For any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information; or
With your consent.
We may also disclose your Personal Information:
To comply with any court order, law, or legal process, including to respond to any government or regulatory request;
To enforce or apply our Terms of Service and other agreements, including for billing and collection purposes; or

If you are a Monitor, to facilitate your potential engagement with a Sponsor or company interested in engaging your professional services;
If you are a Monitor, to obtain a background verification report about you from a third party source, such as HireRight, to verify experience using your Personal Information such as work history, education and supervisor references to meet minimum requirements to use our services;
If you are a Sponsor, to facilitate your potential engagement of a Monitor;
In any other way we may describe when you provide the information; and/or
For any other purpose with your consent.
Due to the nature of our services, you must consent to the use of your Personal Information if you want to use the Website to avail yourself for projects or search for Monitors. If you do not consent, please discontinue use of the Website.
Communications Opt-Out
The Website is designed so that after registration you automatically receive subsequent deliveries of critical information, such as notice of site upgrades and enhancements, new features, user tips, newsletters and additional information on products or services as well as notices regarding projects. Should you desire to "opt out" from receiving this information, please email marketing@biobridges.com with your request. By "opting out" you will no longer receive further information or notices regarding projects.
Tell-A-Friend
If a user elects to use our referral service for informing a friend about our site, we ask them for the friend's name and email address. We will automatically send the friend a one-time email inviting them to visit the site. We store this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email. The friend may contact us at marketing@biobridges.com to request the removal of this information from the database.
